Dr. Eleuterio Hernández de Miguel

Dr. Eleuterio Hernández de Miguel graduated with Distinction as a Doctor in Medicine and Surgery and as a Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the University of Salamanca in Spain. He trained and worked for more than a decade (1979-1992) in the United States on aspects related to Reproductive Medicine at John Hopkins University and at the University of Maryland as Assistant Professor. He combines clinical work with an intense and fruitful research career, which began in 1980 at the National Institute of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, USA and which he continues in the post of Senior Scientist at the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), a position which he has held since 1993. Dr. Hernández has published more than 100 articles on the molecular bases of infertility in journals of international recognition.

 

Dr. Elisabetta Ricciarelli

After graduating as a Doctor in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Bolonia (Italy), Dr. Ricciarelli completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Parma (Italy). She won a scholarship from the prestigious Lalor Foundation and went on to study Reproductive Medicine for three years at the University of Maryland and at the Great Baltimore Medical Center (GBMC), in Baltimore, Maryland in the USA. Dr. Ricciarelli is heavily involved both in clinical and research work and her participation in national and international conferences is constant. She is currently the coordinator of The Spanish Society of Fertility (SEF) interest group on multiple pregnancies.
